The jury for the European Collective Housin Award, chaired by Anne Lacaton, has announced the winners of the first edition.
The Esch Sintzel Architekten (Zurich) and Lacol (Barcelona) teams have won the prize, in the Renovation and New construction categories respectively, for their projects to convert a wine storehouse into housing and for the La Borda housing cooperative.
The prizes will be presented to the teams of architects on Thursday 20 June at 5:00 pm at arc en rêve, in the presence of representatives of the institutions behind the initiative.

Created on the initiative of the Basque Country Architecture Institute and arc en rêve, the European Collective Housing Award aims to highlight the architecture of collective housing in Europe and its impact on society, while emphasising the importance of implementing housing policies. The jury for the first edition is chaired by Anne Lacaton, winner of the 2021 Pritzker Prize, and includes Kristiaan Borret, bouwmeester master architect from Brussels, Fernanda Canales, architect from Mexico City, Emanuele Coccia, philosopher from Paris and Christian Hadaler, co-founder of the Grossstadt cooperative in Munich.
