Since 2022, the National Museum of Taiwan, wishing to create a department of architecture, has approached arc en rêve in order to establish a lasting collaboration between the two institutions in terms of research, exhibitions and educational programmes. As part of this collaboration—formalised by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions in 2023—arc en rêve is offering the Sharing architecture with kids training course for a group of Taiwanese professionals.
In the form of a one-week study trip, the training aims to promote the approach to raising awareness of architecture, the city and its environment among young audiences developed by arc en rêve. It is aimed at a delegation of professionals who will form the teaching team of the future Centre for Architectural Culture in Taiwan.
The training will take the form of workshops, architectural visits, presentations of arc en rêve and its activities to raise awareness of architecture, guided tours of current exhibitions and urban itineraries in Bordeaux and the surrounding area. The aim is to introduce participants to the range of activities and educational tools offered by the architecture centre, as well as to the Bordeaux architectural area in which the institution operates.
